In Pacific Way Radio this month we speak to four parliamentary leaders about their roles as champions for HIV AIDS and youth issues.

The Pacific Parliamentary Assembly on Population and Development (PPAPD) and Forum Presiding Officers and Clerks (FPOC) endorsed Deputy Speaker of Bougainville Parliament, Hon Francesca Semoso and Leader of the House of the Cook Islands Parliament, Hon John Tangi as Pacific Champions for HIV AIDS.

Hon Tolofuaivalelei Falemoe Leiataua, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Samoa and Hon Atapana Siakimotu, Speaker of Niue's Parliament are the Pacific Champions for Youth.

The Pacific champions also underwent training on how to use the media for their advocacy roles and produced TV, radio and poster promotional kit for distribution to other parliamentarians and the media in the region.
