In Pacific Way Radio this month financial boost for work on progressing law reforms to protect Pacific women and girls from violence.

The Pacific Regional Rights Resources Team at the Secretariat of the Pacific Community recently secured $1.3m in funding for a major programme to change legislation in gender reforms in the Pacific.

The funding is being made available through the global United Nations Trust Fund in support of Actions to Eliminate Violence Against Women.

The RRRT intends to improve laws that protect women and girls through quality advocacy campaigns as well as technical support to national efforts reforming family laws in Tuvalu, Tonga, Cook Islands, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Kiribati.
