The Papua New Guinea Supreme Court application filed by Peoples National Congress Party Leader and Illibu - Pangia MP, Peter O'Neill challenging the constitutional legality of Parliament Speaker Job Pomat to reconvene Parliament on 17 November 2020, has been adjourned to Thursday.
Chief Justice Sir Gibbs Salika made this Supreme Court ruling this morning in Port Moresby.
Sir Gibbs presiding over the directional hearing on this Constitutional matter urged all parties in the proceeding to come up with a consensus before the matter goes back for directional hearing tomorrow.
He wants the counsels for the plaintiff and interveners to come to an agreement if Parliament sitting on 01 December can be moved to another date, to give time for Supreme Court application challenging the recall of Parliament by Speaker Job Pomat can be heard.
