Kiribati presidential elections to be held on 22 June – MOJ
06:04 am GMT+12, 25/05/2020, Kiribati

Kiribati Ministry of Justice (MOJ) says registrations for the presidential elections nationwide will be closed on 08 June.

Officer in Charge of MOJ Teebete England told Radio Kiribati News the presidential elections will be held on 22 June.

England said the presidential candidate who wins the most votes will automatically become President for the next four years.

However, the office is advising people to register their names in person even though they’ve already been issued with national ID cards.
