In pacific Islands Forum (PIF) Report this month, we speak to Tony Everitt, Chief Executive of south pacific travel about the impact of the recent tsunami on Samoa's tourism industry. Some of the oprganisation's private members suffered major damage to properties as well as loss of lives in the September 29 tsunami. Everitt also speaks about how they are helping Samoa's tourism in the recovery effort.

We also hear about the region's preparations for the Shanghai World Expo 2010. The Pacific Pavilion which is the third largest pavilion at the expo has been completed. Work will begin soon on the designs for the exhibitions inside the pavilion. Fourteen Pacific Island countries will participate in the expo next year.
