Fiji's Opposition Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) will have a new leader and deputy leader when the names of the successful candidates are announced.
Outgoing Party Leader Sitiveni Rabuka has confirmed that he has been voted out at the SODELPA Management Board meeting this afternoon.
Coming out of the meeting, Rabuka told waiting media that he is no longer Party Leader.
FBC sources within the party say current MP, Viliame Gavoka, has got the support needed to lead, while lawyer, Filimoni Vosarogo, is leading the race for the position of deputy.
Gavoka will take over from current Opposition Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka.
The SODELPA management board has been meeting today about this and is expected to announce the appointments tomorrow at the Annual General Meeting.
Party President Ratu Epenisa Cakobau says he will announce the new appointments Saturday.
